Above is one of the first pictures we took together during a hike in Ireland.

Below is a picture of our wedding ceremony on October 10, 2020 in Maribo, Denmark.

Our Story
We met through friends in the fall of 2019 while studying in Limerick, Ireland, and quickly became inseparable.
With the end of the school year approaching, it didn't take us long to realize we couldn’t let our relationship end there. From then, a plan formed: Clara would move to Canada after graduation, and we would start our life together there. Easy…right?
Then COVID happened.
Borders closed, the entire world shut down, and our carefully crafted plan fell apart almost overnight. Harry flew back to Canada while Clara returned to France.
After months apart, Harry quit his job and flew there so we could wait out the restrictions together. We were convinced Canada would reopen its borders within a few months. Plot twist, it didn't.
As Harry's time in France was running out, Canada announced that foreign spouses would be allowed to enter the country. Not exactly thrilled about the idea of being separated yet again, we came to the conclusion that getting married was “not that crazy, you know?”.
With some research, we discovered that Denmark was one of the easiest places to get married during the pandemic. So, with the help of a wedding agency, some creative paperwork, and a rented German car, we set off for the Las Vegas of Europe. Against all odds, we made it across the border and were married on October 10, 2020, in the small town of Maribo. Our only guests and witnesses were the owners of the wedding agency, and our officiant was introduced simply as a "local politician." To this day, we're still not entirely sure what he said during the ceremony, but we're fairly confident he married us.
After a global pandemic, closed borders, a (slightly illegal) road trip, and one very unconventional wedding, we finally moved to Canada and are now enjoying every moment together.
Now, nearly seven years later, we're excited to celebrate again—this time with our family and friends by our side, a ceremony we can actually understand, and considerably fewer border restrictions.

We are so excited to celebrate with you in France and incredibly grateful that many of you will be travelling from far to join us. We know that making the trip is a big commitment, and it means the world to us that you'll be there to share this special weekend.
Getting There
For guests travelling by air, the most convenient airport is Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). From the airport, you can rent a car or hop on the train to Boulogne-sur-Mer. We recommend arriving at least a day before the wedding to allow plenty of time to travel and settle in before the festivities begin.
Where to Stay
A limited number of on-site accommodations will be available at the venue for some out-of-town guests. We will reach out directly to those staying on-site with additional details.
For all other guests, we recommend booking accommodation in downtown Boulogne-sur-Mer, a charming coastal city located approximately 20 minutes from the venue. The city offers a variety of hotels and accommodations to suit different budgets and preferences.
Note: We recommend booking accommodations early as May 1, 2027 falls on Labour Day weekend in France.
Transportation
To make transportation as easy as possible on the wedding day, complimentary shuttle service will be provided between Boulogne-sur-Mer and the venue, with return shuttles available at the end of the evening.
Additional travel details, accommodation recommendations, and shuttle schedules will be shared closer to the wedding date. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
